When raising your puppy you want to be sure they have all of the nutrients needed to develop to their full potential.
Here are some of the supplements we give our growing pups here at BarTin Kennels:
Vitamin C – Can help prevent the development of hip dysplasia. Helps keep a healthy immune system. Aids in the support of healthy joints, ligaments, teeth and bones.
Directions – We recommend starting Vitamin C at 8 weeks of age. We begin by cutting one Vitamin C tablet in half and giving one per day to your pup. Increase to a full tablet at 16 weeks old. Give until your dog reaches 18 months old. Just add this in the bowl with your pups kibble and they will eat it. (We continue to give this vitamin a few times weekly to our dogs for life.)
Glucosamine – Also an important supplement to use in raising medium-large breed dogs. Helps bones and joints develop properly, to be sound dogs at maturity.
Directions – We recommend starting Cosequin DS (Glucosamine) at 8 weeks of age. We begin by cutting one tablet into four parts and giving 1/4 tablet daily. Increase to 1/2 tablet daily at 16 weeks of age. Increase to 1 full tablet daily at 24 weeks of age (6 months). Just add this in the bowl with your pups kibble and they will eat it. (We continue to give this supplement a few times weekly to our dogs for life.)
