We have owned many breeds over the years (Labrador, Miniature Poodle, Toy Poodle, Miniature Schnauzer, German Shorthair Pointer, Airedale Terrier, Miniature Pincher, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Chihuahua, American Bully), out of them all none have matched the American Pit Bull Terrier in loyalty, patience, character and affection.

American Pit Bull Terriers have consistently scored among the highest of all breeds on the American Temperament Test Society, Inc. results.
Results as of December 2017 American Pit Bull Terriers scored 87.4% with 931 dogs tested, beating the Golden Retriever at 85.6% and Boxer at 83.9%.
American Pit Bull Terriers do best in a family home. They truly crave to be with their family. Pit Bulls become very watchful and caring over children. This is one aspect that endears me to them the most.
Pit Bulls truly adore kids! I have seen this time and time again. However, I am always supervising and I have watched with pleasure as my dogs play and interact with my kids. Also watching them greet and stay gentle with visiting children.
As a family pet – American Pit Bull Terriers are extremely low maintenance. Their short stiff coat requires very little grooming. They are low shedders. A bath once a month, a nail trim, and a wiping out of the ears is about it!
American Pit Bull Terriers do not do well in cold temperatures outdoors because of their thin coat. Because of this and the fact that they are unhappy if they are not with their family, it’s best to allow them indoors.
I truly believe Pit Bulls are one of the BEST family breeds! However, this can only be attained by training your dog properly. It takes knowledge, understanding, patience and consistency on our part to get the best from our dogs.
